Missouri Valley Football Weekly Player Honors 11-24-25
This week's Missouri Valley Football Conference players of the week include RB Jawaun Northington of Murray State, DB Dylan Rowsey of Murray State, KR/WR Ky “Flash” Wilson of Youngstown State, K/P Paul Geelen of Southern Illinois, and OL Noah Fenske of Southern Illinois.

Offensive Player of the Week
RB Jawaun Northington, Murray State
5-9, 217, Sr., Louisville, Ky.
The Racers picked up their first win of the season in a 31-17 victory over Indiana State on the back of Northington’s career day. The senior running back ran for 232 yards and two touchdowns for one of the greatest single game performances in MSU history. His 232 yards rank fifth in program history for single-game rushing yards and is the most rushing yards by an MSU player since 2010.

Defensive Player of the Week
DB Dylan Rowsey, Murray State
6-1, 195, Jr., Rienzi, Miss.
Rowsey did it all for the Racers defense on the day including 10 total tackles, 1.5 tackles-for-loss, a forced fumble and recovery, and an interception. The junior safety helped secure the Racers win with a strip sack in the final stages of the fourth quarter for his second takeaway on the day as he also once again led the team in tackles. Rowsey finished the season as the FCS solo tackles leader with 89 solo tackles on the season and 139 total tackles on the year for the eighth most in MSU history.

Newcomer of the Week
KR/WR Ky “Flash” Wilson, Youngstown State
5-9, 180, Jr., Farrell, Pa.
Wilson finished with 112 all-purpose yards in the 35-32 win over UNI. He accounted for 75 yards on eight receptions and had a kickoff return for 41 yards. His kickoff return on the first kickoff of the contest set the school record for single-season kickoff return yards in a season.

Special Teams Player of the Week
K/P Paul Geelen, Southern Illinois
6-6, 205, Sr., Utrecht, Netherlands
Geelen had another effective day for SIU in its 37-7 win at No. 11 Illinois State on Saturday. Geelen went a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals against the Redbirds, including a long of 48 that came in the fourth quarter. The senior was also 4-for-4 on PATs. After the strong day, Geelen is now 15-for-17 on field goals in 2025 and is a perfect 14-for-14 from inside 50 yards.

Offensive Lineman of the Week
C Noah Fenske, Southern Illinois
6-6, 310, Sr., New Hampton, Iowa
Fenske helped lead the way for an SIU team that defeated No. 11 Illinois State, 37-7, on Saturday. Fenske and the Salukis were dominant at the line of scrimmage, rushing for 296 yards in the win. SIU also allowed just one sack against the Redbirds. With Fenske and company up front, the Salukis had two 100-yard rushers: Edward Robinson (145) and DJ Williams (134).  Fenske graded out at 94%, did not allow a sack, and recorded seven knockdowns.
